Taking photos isn't really something I thought to do when we went. I don't even know if the bakery would permit it... so that's something to look into if you decide to go on their tour.
Becky is an outstanding Franz Bakery employee! She loves what she does and it shows! When you first show up she shares a brief history about the Franz family, how the bakery got started and about where it's at today. Next, she takes children 7+ and their parents behind the scenes for the half-hour tour. The engineering behind it all is just amazing! Lastly, everyone gets to enjoy a snack of bread, butter and apple juice, and gift bags to take home! :)
Now, if you have younger children don't feel that you can't take your kids to enjoy the tour! For children six and under, there is a waiting area with puzzles, books, coloring pages, and a little store they can "shop" in. Naturally, at least one parent needs to stay with them... but your group can decide who will do this or at least you all can draw straws. :)
Cost: FREE!
They welcome tour groups of between ten and sixty people.
Important:
For your safety they do not permit jewelry to be worn except for wedding bands. Participants must wear closed toe, non skid shoes such as tennis shoes.
