Japanese Gardens

These gardens are lovely and perfect to visit if you are studying botany and/or the Japanese culture. If you go to the "learn more" tab on their website (it's in the top left corner), you'll find all sorts of information you can print out and take with you for a self-guided tour.

There was a scavenger hunt for
the kids to do as we toured the garden.

For some reason... Bob the Tomato
and Jerry from VeggieTales came to mind.
We also kind of felt like bowling afterward.
Just sayin'....

Tips:
We thought admission was kind of steep. So, we went in January during the free admission day... though we didn't get a guided tour. :)
Not so stroller friendly... there are some paths with steps.
There's a steep climb up the hill to the entrance of the gardens... but you may be able to catch the shuttle.
Parking can be something else! The lot is typically full so bring your patience with you. :)
Restrooms:
Are available.
Best Time of Year:
It's open all year... we liked our January visit because admission was free. :)
Ages:
All
